Police have arrested a man in his 40s after drivers and pedestrians spotted someone ‘touching themselves inappropriately’ in High Wycombe.

The man was spotted engaging in indecent exposure on the grass next to Princes Gate between 8pm and 8:30pm on Saturday, August 3.

He is believed to also have been "touching himself inappropriately” at the same spot after 7pm on Friday, August 2.

Police arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of “outraging public decency” on Saturday. He has been released on bail until October 20.

PC Oliver Bolton, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this exposure incident to please come forward.

“We are aware that multiple people walked or drove past this area and saw the offender.

“Someone in a silver car was seen stopping to shout at the offender, while someone in a silver van was seen stopping and shouting at the offender the previous day.

“So, we’re appealing for anyone who saw this man, particularly these two people, to contact police to give their account of what they saw to assist in bringing the offender to justice.
