A teenage girl is fighting for her life in hospital after a stabbing in High Wycombe early this morning.
Police were called to the A404 junction on Amersham Road at around 1:35am this morning, Thursday, August 1, after reports of a stabbing.
A teenage girl was found with life-threatening injuries at the scene and is being treated in hospital. Her next of kin have been informed.
Officers have arrested a 17-year-old girl from High Wycombe on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and an investigation is ongoing.
The force closed off a section of Amersham Road in the early hours of the morning, telling residents it was being treated as a “major crime scene”.
Their presence in the area is expected to remain throughout today and tomorrow.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Philip Turner-Robson said: “I appreciate the circumstances of this incident may be concerning but we believe it was a targeted attack with no threat to the wider public.
“We have already made one arrest and continue to investigate this as a priority.
“Thank you for your patience whilst we carry out this investigation.
