Media reports that a string of celebrities including Prince Harry are set to attend a wedding party at Stoke Park are false, the estate has said.

The Duke of Sussex was reported to be on a star-studded list of guests attending a bash at the listed golf club and hotel to celebrate the marriage of the son of Asia’s richest man.

However, Stoke Park has issued a full denial of the story, which was first reported by The Sun newspaper, citing an unnamed source, and then picked up by other outlets.

In a statement the estate said: “At Stoke Park we don’t usually comment on private matters, but in light of the recent media speculation, and in the interest of accuracy, we’d like to clarify that there are no wedding celebrations planned at the estate this summer.

“As always, we are committed to our future vision for the estate as a world class hotel and golf course and will continue to work with our stakeholders and local community to deliver this.”

Reports claimed that Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, who were married in Mumbai earlier in July, had block booked Stoke Park until September to celebrate their nuptials.

The glamorous 350-acre estate is well-known for its film history, forming the backdrop to the famous golf scene in in Goldfinger, while also being used as a location in Bridget Jones.

Boris Johnson and Tony and Cherie Blair, who all attended the couple’s wedding celebrations in India, were also reported to be coming to Stoke Park.

The Blairs were among many famous faces who bagged an invite to the wedding in India, along with socialite Kim Kardashian, wrestler John Cena, singer Nick Jonas, actor Priyanka Chopra, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Anant Ambani is the son of Mukesh Ambani, the boss of multi-billion-pound family conglomerate Reliance Industries.

Reliance owns 100 per cent of the shares in Stoke Park Limited, which holds the long commercial lease of the Stoke Park estate, of which Buckinghamshire Council is the freeholder.

Plans to install new facilities at Stoke Park were recently approved by the council as part of a phased reopening of the golf club and hotel, while other planning applications for renovations to parts of the site are currently being pored over by planning officers.

The club reopened the existing golf course under a pay and play basis on June 8 and has already hosted golf events.
