FOOTBALL supporters braved the sweltering heat on Tuesday for a charity walk from Watford to Wycombe
Wycombe Wanderers Charitable Foundation members weren't put off as temperatures hit 32c - and headed off from Adam's Park at 5am to make the 20-mile journey for a worthy cause.
The route saw them welcome through Watford and up to Amersham before heading through Buckinghamshire and into Wycombe.
And despite the challenges the heatwave presented, all made it to Adams Park just in time to take their seats for the pre-season friendly.
And in news welcomed by all Wycombe not only won the match 3-2 but the charity raised nearly £1,000 for their efforts.
Taking to Twitter to praise the volunteers, a spokesman for the charity said: "Back just in time for kick-off - an unbelievable effort from our health and inclusion team."
