Numerous plants and garden ornaments have been implanted all over Amersham as part of the town’s ‘In Bloom’ feature.
Taking place each summer, local councillors and members of the public spend weeks at a time planting numerous flowers across the area, to make sure those passing through south Buckinghamshire can enjoy a fair amount of vibrancy.
In addition to this, the town is also judged by the ‘In Bloom’ inspectors.
In a Facebook post that was published on July 17, it read: “Amersham is sparkling with wildflowers every corner aplenty along with vibrant and interesting displays throughout.
“All of which are a testament to the effort and determination of the Amersham Town Council office and depot team, Bloom Volunteers, the street cleansing team at Buckinghamshire Council and of course, Andy Honour and the brilliant 1st Chesham Bois Scout Group Leaders.
“A team like no other.
"Today [July 17] we were judged by the RHS for a Regional Thames and Chilterns in Bloom Award.
"Of course, we do what we do to enhance our town and our community, however, the possibility of achieving a gold award does add that extra incentive!
“We hope that you are enjoying the flower displays and environmental improvements as much we are.
“Your support is much appreciated.”
