Aylesbury United have revealed that they have raised £2,541.75 for the Youth Concern charity during the 2023/24 season.

Money was donated through numerous events such as the annual sponsored walk (the longest we have ever done at more than 20 miles), quiz nights and the club’s raffle at their community day.

In addition, 191.45kg of food and care items were donated at our game versus Biggleswade Town.

Since the charity partnership concept began in 2016/17 season, the club has raised more than £13,000 for the local charities involved.

Andy Martin, chair of supporters' trust 21CD and one of our club directors, said: “I would like to thank our players, supporters and others associated with the club for their generosity this season.

“I’m so pleased that as a club we have been able to support Youth Concern this season, a charity that is so important for young people in Aylesbury.

“It’s amazing that we have extended this into a long-term partnership and we look forward to working with Youth Concern into the future.”

Hannah Asquith, CEO at Youth Concern, said: “Thank you for choosing to partner with our charity this year. The money raised has enabled us to do more activities with young people at our Drop-in Centre and our supported housing project.

“It has also supported celebratory meals at Eid, Easter and Christmas, including a Secret Santa which the young people loved, as well as some occasional donuts, pizza and movie evenings.

“The food donated filled our food bank and provided over 30 food and care packages for young people.

“The partnership has also raised awareness of the charity in ways I couldn’t have imagined, and I’m absolutely thrilled that the club have agreed to extend the partnership.
