Two bikes were seized on the same day in Chalfont St Peter.
On Monday, July 15, officers from Thames Valley Police were notified by members of the public that a damaged bike had been found in the village’s common.
When attending the scene, it was revealed that the vehicle in question was an electronic bike, or an e-bike.
It was retrieved, recovered and will be returned to the company that produces the items.
In a brief statement, Thames Valley Police said: “Criminal damage will not be tolerated.”
After taking the bike away, officers from the force then found another vehicle in the same area roughly 40 minutes later.
Coppers discovered an abandoned bike on Gold Hill Common in the village.
It is believed to belong to a child due to the bike’s size.
An officer from the force said: “It now resides at Amersham Police Station pending collection.
“If it's yours please get in touch.”
