A woman in her 20s is being treated by specially trained officers as a rape investigation has been launched in Gerrards Cross.
At around 10.40pm on Thursday, July 11, a woman was attacked along the Oxford Road near St James’ Church in the village.
Following the incident, she is being looked after by members from Thames Valley Police.
Detective Inspector Dominique Muldoon said: “I appreciate incidents such as this will cause concern in the local community however, we are making fast-time enquiries and our investigation is progressing.
“The victim is being supported at this time, and a scene-watch has now been stood down.
“I would urge anybody who believes that they witnessed this incident or has any information that may assist the investigation to please call us on 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference 43240329920.
“I would also ask anybody who was driving in the area, particularly on the A40 through Gerrards Cross, to please check your dash-cams and get in touch if it has captured anything that may assist the investigation.”
