A 37-year-old man will spend the next six months in prison after pleading guilty to numerous shoplifting crimes.

Kieron Trim, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to 30 weeks in prison on July 4 at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court.

He admitted to six counts of theft from a shop, one count of attempted theft from a shop and five counts of breach of a criminal behaviour order.

The crimes took place between June 14 and June 26 where he stole £604 worth of goods from Next along Crest Road in the town.

This store was in the exclusion zone within Trim’s criminal behaviour order, meaning he was not allowed to enter it.

Trim was arrested on July 3 and charged and remanded the next day.

Chief Inspector Hayley McEvoy, of the Buckinghamshire neighbourhood policing team, said: "I am very pleased with this result as it demonstrates how seriously Thames Valley Police takes shoplifting under Operation Purchase.

“We are committed to working hard to support our retail community and shall continue to bring offenders to justice.”
