Firefighters were called to three separate incidents across Chesham over a three day spell.

Firstly on Monday, July 8, emergency workers were called to the town’s High Street following reports of a fire.

They arrived at roughly 11.05pm with a crew from Amersham being sent out.

It was discovered that a bin had been set on fire, with smoking being logged to a nearby building.

The firefighters used one hose reel jet, a short extension ladder, a ceiling hook, a thermal imaging camera and a positive-pressure ventilation fan.

The bin was 100 per cent destroyed by the fire.

One day later on Tuesday, July 9, another crew from Amersham attended the town, but this time on Willow Chase.

This was due to a child being locked inside a car and was unable to get out.

She was rescued at roughly 8.15pm and did not suffer any injuries.

Finally, on Wednesday, July 10, a crew, once again from Amersham, visited a street in Chesham.

This time, it was to help a young boy who had also been trapped inside a locked car.

The incident happened at around 8.40am on Elmtree Hill, with the child being rescued without any incident.
