Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School in Marlow is holding an outdoor music festival this weekend as part of its 400th birthday celebrations.

The school on West Street kicked off the festivities with a sponsored walk through the hills and woods of Marlow at the end of June.

The weekend of June 29 to 30 also saw the formal opening of the site’s Centenary Hall as well as a gala ball complete with a concert band.

And the school isn’t done marking the momentous anniversary yet – with the Borlase 400 Birthday Bash planned for this Saturday afternoon (July 13).

Attendees can expect live music from student and alumni bands, food and drink stalls from Marlow-based businesses and a number of other attractions including a bouncy castle.

A fully licensed bar, arts and craft stands and a special performance from the JAM Theatre Company are among other highlights on the birthday bash schedule.

Saturday’s event will take place from 3pm to 10pm at Colonel’s Meadow. Tickets can be bought at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on/marlow/colonels-meadow/the-borlase-400-birthday-bash/e-deplkk.
