A section of a country road near Chalfont St Peter was recently closed off due to a fire.
At around 12.30pm on Thursday, July 4, ‘smoke and flames’ were seen coming from the ground along Denham Lane in the village, where one fire engine from Gerrards Cross’ attended the scene.
Bucks Fire said: “The electricity provider isolated the electricity feed and firefighters used a dry powder extinguisher.
“The road was closed, and a cordon was put in place while they worked at the scene.”
There were no reported injuries and the road was eventually reopened after the works were carried out by the authorities.
