A two-vehicle crash has caused significant delays along the Berkshire/Buckinghamshire stretch of the M25.
During this morning’s rush hour on [Wednesday, July 3] the emergency services and the authorities attended the scene, which resulted in lane four (of four) being shut on the M25 clockwise.
Lane 4 (of 4) is closed on the #M25 clockwise between J16 #M40 and J17 #Rickmansworth due to a 2 vehicle collision.

This means access to Junction 16 and Junction 17, connecting to M40 near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire is out of bounds.
This is impacting drivers who are heading towards Denham, with motorists being urged to find alternative routes to their destinations.

The initial closure caused roughly 50 minutes of delays with tailbacks going back roughly eight miles.
However, recovery vehicles are at the scene, with the traffic being reduced to six miles, meaning congestion will last roughly half-an-hour.
