Arriva has confirmed that 14 of its bus routes in Buckinghamshire will be axed in July - but what does it mean for your normal journey?

The bus firm will cease operations from its depots in High Wycombe and Aylesbury on July 27.

12 of the routes being axed next month will be taken over by competitor Carousel Buses from July 28, with some timetable and number changes.

Some residents will see almost no change - except the logo - to their bus schedules, including those travelling on Arriva's 800, 850 and X80 services from Wycombe to Marlow.

The 5A service between Wycombe, Flackwell Heath, Wooburn Green and Bourne End will also follow the same route under Carousel but become renumbered as the 36S.

Arriva's 6 service from Wycombe to Flackwell Heath and Bourne End will become the 36, the 6A service from Penn will become the 31S and the 7 and 7A buses between Wycombe, Wooburn Green and Bourne End will be changed to the 37 and 37S respectively, with no  impact on route or timetable.

The 10 service from Wycombe to Downley will also be incorporated into Carousel's 30 route with revised times and an hourly service on Sundays, and the 11 to Penn will become the 31, also running on a modified schedule.

Arriva's 3 and 13 routes from Wycombe to Desborough Castle and Totteridge will be merged into Carousel's new 33 service - with more regular buses every 15 minutes.

And those used to taking Arriva's 2 and 12 buses to Booker and Micklefield will be able to make their normal journeys via Carousel's combined 32 route, with the added bonus of an increased service on both weekdays and weekends.

Carousel's 4 service between Wycombe, Booker and Lane End will also be renumbered 34 from July 28.

If you're a regular on the two services not covered by Arriva - the X9/90 between Wycombe and Aylesbury and the X7/9 from Aylesbury to Oxford - have no fear, as access to both routes will be provided by Redline Buses Limited.

A new Redline service from Wycombe to Aylesbury and vice versa will launch on July 28 and the company's X20 route between Aylesbury and Oxford will be redirected through Haddenham from the same date.
