Despite reports that the Black Sabbath rocker had upped sticks and moved back to his Jordans estate last year, Sharon Osbourne has revealed that husband Ozzy’s ‘tough’ health struggles have put the brakes on relocation plans.
Speaking on the podcast Howie Mandel Does Stuff this week, Sharon said her husband’s reluctance to make Buckinghamshire the family’s primary residence was also causing problems for the 10-part BBC programme Home to Roost, commissioned last year to follow the couple as they settle back into the UK.
She said: “I wanted to spend more time in England and come (to LA for) visits, like on birthdays, holidays and stuff like that.
“I have been trying to get Ozzy to get out of the house and come to England. I am still trying. He is having a little bit of a tough time. Getting old and not being well sucks.”
A source close to the family told the Daily Mirror that Ozzy was focused on his health ahead of his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Ohio this October.
They added: “Ozzy has been quite clear (that) he loves being in LA close to his grandkids and music pals, and that he is unsure about the whole England return. It is obviously a massive stumbling block for the TV series.”

Locals in the Osbourne’s Bucks village of Jordans, near Beaconsfield, would be excused for assuming the famous pair were already in their midst – Sharon told the BBC’s Women’s Hour podcast in November that she and her husband were enjoying “small town” living in the UK countryside, describing it as a refreshing change of pace from big city life.
The 71-year-old said: “We live in the countryside, it’s not full of paps and it’s not a busy little town. We have a lot of land so (Ozzy) will be able to walk around and pursue his hobbies that he loves doing without being bothered.
“It’s home, it’s always been home – I don’t think I’m very American, and I just feel more at home here.”
Ozzy and Sharon originally planned to move back over the pond in December 2022 before the relocation was put on hold while their Welders House mansion underwent a renovation including the installation of a new recording studio.
The couple bought Welders House in the early 1990s but have lived in the US since the mid-2000s.
