WITH a General Election less than a fortnight away, this week you will find a special general election supplement inside your Bucks Free Press.

In tomorrow's paper (Friday, June 21), you will find interviews with all candidates standing in the seat of High Wycombe and seven out of eight standing in Beaconsfield (one didn't reply - oops!).

Over the past three weeks, our team has been hard at work trying to track down all 38 candidates standing across the five constituencies to give you - our dear reader - the opportunity to learn a bit more about the people who are standing to represent you.

Yes, by now you will no doubt have received a leaflet (or three) through your doors. And if you've been lucky - or unlucky - you may have been on the receiving end of a canvasser.

But there there is nothing more levelling than an interview by the local paper. We compiled a shortlist of questions, aimed to cut to the chase, to get to the heart of these individual's policies and to give the public an opportunity to have a fair and balanced look at everyone standing.
We've also thrown in some some quick-fire questions too.

You might be surprised to learn that two candidates are keen Bridgerton fans, another loves Lawrence of Arabia, and despite the political differences, there seems to be cross-party consensus that GP waiting times are unacceptable and Wycombe Hospital needs funding to be rebuilt.

There are other surprising nuggets to uncover too. The climate conscious candidate who drives a Landrover or the two candidates with spookily similar answers.

So pop out tomorrow morning, pick up a Bucks Free Press paper and enjoy your local election guide.
