A man has been stripped of his driving licence for a year after being caught behind the wheel while on drugs.
Paul Dockerty, 42, of Chestnut Lane, Amersham, was stopped while driving a Kia Picanto in Amersham Road, Hazlemere, on December 5 last year.
Officers established he was under the influence of drugs.
The defendant appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates' Court in connection with the incident on June 4.
There, he pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while unfit through drugs.
Magistrates banned Dockerty from driving for a year.
In addition, he was fined £200, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
Driving while unfit through drugs is a criminal offence, and anybody caught on the road while under the influence will lose their licence.
