More than 3,000 people attended the annual Eid in the Park event organised by Wycombe Islamic Society (WISE) at Holmers Farm Recreation Ground on Sunday, June 16.

Refi Shafi, the organiser, said: "The event began with a prayer service followed by a short sermon and saw a huge turnout of people from all walks of life and nationalities within the local community."

Post-service festivities included a free funfair, Asian breakfast, candyfloss, and ice-cream with numerous stalls selling items such as tea, toys and sweets.

Mr Shafi added: "The event was a huge success with a great atmosphere.

"An awesome start to a truly special day."
