Over 30 Royal Air Force aircrafts will take to the skies today to celebrate King Charles III’s official birthday.
The formation will be led by Chinook helicopters, set to pass over Buckingham Palace at 1pm today (June 15), while the Royal Family watches from the balcony, followed by a three-Typhoon formation.
The air show will then be brought to a close with a classic display of red, white and blue by pilots in the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows.
Although the official Red Arrows schedule narrowly skirts round parts of South Bucks, they are due to pass over Windsor Castle at 1:10pm and Halton Camp in Wendover, via Chesham, at around 1:14pm – so between 1:10pm and 1:30pm is the most likely time window for a sighting.
From there, the fly-past will continue over South of East Haddon in Northamptonshire and onwards towards RAF Waddington in Lincoln.
Despite a less-than-ideal start to the day, with heavy showers and low-lying clouds, the fly-past is still scheduled to go ahead as of 12:30pm.
