Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision near the village of Gibraltar, in south Buckinghamshire.

The collision occurred around 3pm on June 8 on the A418 westbound.

It involved a blue Nissan Micra and a blue Suzuki motorbike.

The motorcyclist was hospitalised with serious injuries, and remains there in serious condition.

The driver of the Nissan, a woman in her sixties, escaped with only minor injuries.

The crash took place along a section of the A418 close to the village of Gibraltar, between Aylesbury and Thame.

She did not require hospital treatment.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "We would ask anyone who witnessed this collision or may have dash-cam footage to please come forward.
