ANGRY festival goers who spent money on tickets are demanding refunds after waiting more than a month.

Organisers took the decision to cancel this years Pennfest on April 15 due to "lower than anticipated ticket sales."

They said the cancellation of this year's event was a necessary step to regroup and prepare for an impressive 2025 event.

This year's festival was suppose to see the likes of Richard Ashcroft, Jess Glynne, Paul Weller as well as Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ella Henderson and more.

But some festival-goers who spent money on tickets are upset they have not been given a refund yet.

Gary Cuddon said he was suppose to receive his refund within 10 days but has heard nothing since.

He said: "In this time Gigantic neither responded to my email queries as to where the refund was and neither did their customer services telephone number work. It came back as an unrecognised number.

"Within ten minutes of reporting the matter to Barclaycard I had a response from Gigantic Tickets saying that the refund had been authorised and to allow 5 to 7 working days for the refund and if the refund has not been received by the 14/6 to contact their customer services.

"I have received nothing as of yet.

"I am owed £236 as they only refund the face value of the ticket and they keep the extortionate booking fee.

"I have no faith in receiving the money any time soon.

"I shall continue with my claim through Barclaycard as I think that Gigantic are just stalling and they never respond to any customer queries or emails. I don’t know of any other people that are experiencing problems although I would be surprised if there are not people in a similar situation to me?"

Another customer criticised the ticket provider for not receiving his refund yet.

Danny Norman said: "Are a lot of people still waiting for this and also not receiving the full amount back.

"Seems they have managed to scam a lot of money out of people."

Pennfest organisers said: “All requested refunds have now been processed, which has been confirmed by (ticket agents) Gigantic.

"If anyone is still waiting we do sincerely apologise, but advise them to please contact their point of purchase right away and this will be picked up as a matter of urgency.”

Pennfest also advised customers to contact Gigantic on https://www.gigantic.com/contact-us if they're still owed a refund.
