A BANK in High Wycombe has announced plans to cut its opening hours to cope with the 'changing demands'.
TSB has announced it is reducing its hours as its branch in Church Street from August 30.
The bank currently operates a regular 9am to 5pm opening time closing earlier on a Saturday (1pm). As with most banks, TSB does not open on Sundays.
The new opening hours will be Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
In the High Wycombe branch review, TSB said: "The way customers bank with us is changing. Over 95% of transactions are now being made using mobile, online and other ways to bank, instead of in our branches. And more customers than ever are using our Video and Telephone Banking service.
"We remain committed to face-to-face services across the country, and over 90% of our customers are within a 20 minute drive to a branch, or location of a Money Confidence Expert.
"But we want our services to reflect the current and future needs of our customers, so we're adjusting the hours of our quieter branches so we're open when customers use the branch most. And we'll be using the additional time when we're not open to support customers in other ways."
As a result, the closing times from Monday to Friday have been cut by an hour, from 5pm to 4pm.
