The Wycombe Rye Lido is hosting a community celebration marking its 67th anniversary on Saturday, June 1.

The day-long event will provide visitors the opportunity to utilise the pool and other amenities at the centre.

The gym will be accessible free of charge and an Aqua Aerobics class will be open to all attendees.

Participation in group exercise classes - Total Body, Spin, and Zumba will require payment.

Additionally, throughout the day, the lido will be available for lane swimming and family swims, presenting guests the chance to experience the original pool at its prime.

A free football skills session for children, conducted by instructor Rhys, will be held at 1.30pm on the lido's All-Terrain Pitch.

Catering to refreshments, the freshly established 'Chill Café' will inaugurate on the same day, offering guests meals and beverages.

Matt Smith, regional manager for Wycombe Rye Lido at Fusion Lifestyle, said: "We are really excited to celebrate the lido’s anniversary.

"We are one of the only heated lidos in the area and have become a local landmark since the centre opened 67 years ago.

"Our lido is a place where the whole family can come and get active and have fun."

Visitors are encouraged to reserve their attendance via the Fusion Lifestyle app.

Outside of the event, the Lido can be visited by adults for £9 and juniors for £4.50.

Seasonal tickets, offering good value, are available for regular visitors.
