A Flackwell Heath boy battled it out on stage for the Britain's Got Talent (BGT) semi-finals last night (May 28).
Kaiden Edwards, nine, was part of Ravi Adelekan's Dream Team, intended to raise awareness for children living with brain tumours.
After the semi-finals aired, Ravi's Dream Team managed to raise an extra £6,000 for the charity.
Kaiden was diagnosed with a brain tumour in June 2022 after experiencing head pain, nausea, sickness and double vision.
A routine MRI scan in March picked up a spot on Kaiden’s spine which was diagnosed as a relapse of medulloblastoma, a tumour in his spinal cord.
Like Kaiden, Ravi is battling with a brain tumour which he is currently suffering from the side effects day to day.
Since Ravi's diagnosis, he and his choir have raised over £100,000 for brain tumour research, earning him a Pride of Britain Award with TSB last October and a chance to meet Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
And Ravi – who was Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer pick – has also got some Lions roaring for him. Mum Bethan, 42, says: “We’ve had good luck messages from Paloma Faith, Jack Grealish, Jermaine Jenas, and more. It’s been amazing."
Ravi's Dream Team were unfortunately sent home after a an intense decision between them and Haribow to go through to the next round.
Ravi's Dream Team said: "Well that was something! We had the most amazing time on Britain's Got Talent and achieved our dream of shining a light on the brain tumour community.
"We hope we did you proud.
"Massive love to the families and loved ones of the 11 stars who were with us on stage, Jasmine, Orla, Millie, Lottie, Jack, Lizzie, Sophie, Becky, Evie, Adam and Tom. Huge thanks to all of you that voted and donated via www.ravisdream.com
"We're all going to have a lie down but we have a long way to go before we reach our fundraising target so we will be back soon!"
