A driver was caught on video trying to navigate a roundabout in High Wycombe with a sofa on top of their car - before it flew off as they turned a corner.
The large charcoal grey sofa was spotted tied to the roof of the black Ford as it approached the roundabout on Monday, May 27.
A single piece of string attaching the furniture to the vehicle gave way as the car swung around and the sofa fell to the ground in the rain.
Thankfully, no one appeared to be harmed in the incident.
A passenger from London, who was following in another vehicle, recorded the spectacle and said it was "an accident waiting to happen".
He said: "My wife and I were both in stitches. We were laughing so hard I was worried she might crash.
"It was a massive sofa with one tiny bit of string around it - what a clown.
"It was very funny, but I did feel a bit sorry for him because it started raining very heavily and there wasn't anywhere safe to stop and help him."
