WEEKLY round up of hearings at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court:
TAYLA REAY, 22, of Clay Close, Flackwell Heath, convicted of drink-driving in Micklefield Road, High Wycombe, on April 12, 2024. Found to have 48mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £80. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £32 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
BRANDON BLAND, 19, of Fulmer Rise, Fulmer, convicted of failing to provide a specimen for analysis when asked by police as a person in charge of a vehicle on October 29, 2023. Fined £276. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £110 victim surcharge. 10 points added to driving licence.
MARK ROGERS, 39, of Alderson Close, Aylesbury, convicted of drug-driving on the A413 in Winslow and Aylesbury on October 15, 2023. Found to have cannabis in their system. Fined £369. Also ordered to pay £53 court costs. disqualified from driving for six months.
LISA STOKES, 28, of Eaton Avenue, High Wycombe, convicted of suing a vehicle without the correct insurance in public on Mill End Road, High Wycombe, on December 10, 2023. Also convicted of drink-driving on the same date and location. Found to have 74mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £180. Also ordered to pay £400 court costs and £72 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 20 months.
JACK ANDRULEWICZ, 49, of Stratford Drive, Wooburn green, convicted of failing to provide a specimen for analysis as a vehicle driver in Reading on March 27, 2024. Also convicted of driving while disqualified in Birfield Road, Loudwater, on March 27, 2024. Fined £461. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £184 victim surcharge.
THOMAS ARTHEY, 19, of The Lagger, Chalfont St Giles, convicted of drink-driving at Beaconsfield Service Station on the M40 on April 13, 2024. Found to have 58mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £108. Must also pay £85 court costs and £43 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 16 months.
PEARCE POWER, 25, of Turnham Close, Winslow, convicted of harassment without violence in Buckingham on October 23, 2023. Also convicted of harassment without violence in Buckingham on March 23, 2024. Given a community order to comply with drug rehabilitation and made subject to a restraining order. Also ordered to pay £114 victim surcharge.
QAISER AKHTAR, 53, of Churchill Avenue, Aylesbury, convicted of using a handheld mobile device while driving in Gatehouse way, Aylesbury, on July 3, 2023. Also convicted of driving without the correct insurance on the same date and location. Fined £132. Also ordered to pay £90 court costs and £53 victim surcharge. Six points added to driving licence.
IAN LEAKER, 43, of Southcote Way, Penn, convicted of speeding over the 30mph limit on the A4074 Nuneham Courtenay on August 29, 2023. Found to be driving at 55mph. Fined £450. Also ordered to pay £90 court costs and £180 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
SAMUEL GRIFFITHS, 28, of no fixed abode, convicted of assault by beating in Chalfont St Peter, on January 25, 2024. Also convicted of assault thereby occasioning actual bodily harm in Chalfont St Peter on January 25, 2024. Sentenced to 26 weeks in prison due to severity of the offence as ‘an unprovoked attack of a serious nature’. Also ordered to pay £154 victim surcharge.
It is established in the UK that court cases should be heard in public.
