Motor Fuel Group plans to install a new charging zone, which will include electric vehicle charging points and a ‘sub-station enclosure’.
The applicant will also build a new canopy to cover the battery-powered vehicles, as well as four new jet wash bays and air, water and vacuum facilities.
The new facilities will be parallel to an exist trolley bay in the Morrisons car park, according to plans submitted to the council.
The applicant’s plans state: “The proposals would contribute positively to the existing electric vehicle charging network.”
They add: “The proposed area will be well-lit and does not raise any concerns from an anti-social behaviour / natural surveillance perspective.”
Stoke Park to repair mansion staircase, Park Road, Stoke Poges (PL/24/0916/HB)
The council has given Stoke Park Limited permission to fix parts of the staircase at the Grade I listed mansion of the 300-acre country estate.
The company – owned by India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries – is reopening the Buckinghamshire golf club and hotel in phases after it shut in 2021 for renovations.
The application states that a ‘risk of total failure’ of the staircase has been identified by the applicant’s structural engineer.
The applicant’s plans state: “The works proposed will ensure that the staircase remains in working order and can be safely used without causing further damage to the listed fabric.
“Enabling the proposed repair works will allow the listed fabric to be sensitively repaired and restored, enhancing the functionality of the staircase, ensuring its continued use and protection of the heritage fabric from future damage.”
