Residents based in Buckinghamshire can expect warm temperatures this month as a ‘Saharan Plume’ has been predicted to sweep across the UK.

The Thames Valley has enjoyed several summery spells so far this May, along with some very heavy showers.

But the humidity of summer has been planned to arrive in the South of England in the coming days, whilst the North African dust should be landing by the end of May.

A surge in air pollution levels is expected, which could spell trouble for those with lung conditions such as asthma.

The dust is also expected to settle on cars and could scratch paintwork and windows if not cleaned off properly.

If this happens, motorists should rinse their car thoroughly before soaking it in a snow foam soak and giving it another good rinse.

So what does the next week look like for Bucks?
