Stoke Mandeville Hospital welcomed the birth of 12 babies, first of which was a boy named Ezideen, on the extraordinary International Day of the Midwife on Sunday, May 5.
All births took place within the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
Ezideen weighed in at 8lb 2oz, and was soon followed by Zaelia, a girl at 6lb 8oz, before Albie, another boy, came into the world at 8lb 4oz.
Michelle East, Director of Midwifery at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust said: "It’s always a privilege and a joy to deliver babies but it’s extra special to welcome them into the world on the International Day of the Midwife.
"Congratulations to our 12 families and their new arrivals!"
The International Day of the Midwife, founded in 1992 by the International Confederation of Midwives, takes place annually on May 5.
Midwives perform a vital service in providing care and support to women and their families while pregnant, throughout labour and during the period after a baby’s birth.
