POLICE are still investigating a crash on the M40 which killed a couple from Ilford.
Jagdish Singh-Bhogal, 70, and Jaswinder Kaur Bhogal, 68, died in a crash involving eight cars on January 22 last year.
10 other people also suffered minor injuries in the crash which happened between Junction 5 Stokenchurch and Junction 4 Handy Cross, High Wycombe.
A pre-inquest review into the deaths opened on August 2 2023, where Senior Coroner Crispin Giles Butler confirmed there had been no homicide arrests for the death of Mr and Mrs Bhogal.
Another pre-inquest review was held today (May 16) with their son Indy Bhogal present via Zoom.
Coroner Crispin Butler said a forensic investigation report was completed at the end of March, which is still with the crime prosecution service.
The inquest remains open and has been adjourned to a further pre-inquest review, either to announce a 'suspension or a development of the investigation to any prosecution.'
Crispin Butler set a date for the next pre-inquest review for August 15, at 12.50pm 'pending any further development from Thames Valley Police'.
