More images of the Downley shooting have been obtained by the Bucks Free Press as a police cordon in the area has been reduced.
The photographs taken at roughly 9am on Monday, May 13, show that School Lane has reopened.
The only section restricted from public access is one of the properties along the street.
It is suspected that this is the residence of the alleged shooter.
This comes after a 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Friday, May 10, after a man in his 60s was stabbed, and a police officer was shot with a crossbow.
The supposed perpetrator was then gunned down by police and was taken to hospital where they remain.
During the incident, armed police visited the scene with shields as they told members of the public to stay inside their respective homes, and that anyone who was outside needed to take shelter.
The village’s community centre, which was hosting a dance for teenagers at the time, was put on lockdown for approximately two hours, whilst children playing in the nearby park were told to leave.
Later that evening [May 10], forensics were seen examining one of the front doors of one of the houses involved, which was covered in blood.
Detectives remained at the scene throughout Saturday, May 11 but restrictions were lifted later that day and during Sunday, May 12.
Now, on May 13, only a tine section of the street is off limits as the police continue with their investigation.
Images show that one of the houses involved has had two of its front windows shattered, whilst blood remains on one of the neighbouring front doors, three days after the incident took place.
The man who was stabbed and the policeman who was shot with a crossbow has since been taken to hospital but were discharged on the same day [May 10].
Thames Valley Police’s crime commissioner, Matthew Barber, said: “One man was arrested and he has also been taken to hospital under police supervision with potentially life-changing injuries having been shot by an armed police officer during the incident.
“The police are not looking for anyone else about the incident at this time.
“I spoke to the Chief Constable shortly after the incident and have been kept updated on the investigation.
“A mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office of Police Conduct as is usual after any incident of a police shooting.
“I am grateful for the swift and brave actions of the police in dealing with this incident and wish the injured officer a full and speedy recovery.
“I would urge people not to speculate about the incident but if you have any information please contact Thames Valley Police via their website.”
