Emergency services have been spotted in Downley this evening amid reports that 'a police officer was shot with a crossbow'.
One resident said they had heard that "a policeman was shot with a crossbow at Downley Common" and that "a couple of roads in the area have been closed".
They were also advised to "stay away" from the scene by others living in the village.
Thames Valley Police officers are currently at School Close, near the Common, and a man is believed to have been taken away by ambulance.

Residents on Facebook have suggested that the man armed with the crossbow was "shot by police" after discharging his weapon.
They also reported seeing multiple police cars and a critical care vehicle travelling along The Pastures at around 7:40pm.
Thames Valley Police has been contacted for comment.
