A CAR has been seized as part of a fly-tipping investigation in Buckinghamshire.
Buckinghamshire Council said the Ford Transit was seized on March 24, 2024 as part of a probe with Thames Valley Police.
The truck is involved with flytipping in the Brill/Boarstall area in the north of the county.
The council said on social media: "Safe to say it won't be used for #flytipping in the Brill-Boarstall area anymore, or anywhere else along the M40 corridor."
The vehicle was seized from Oaksview Park, Lower Arncott, Boarstall.
Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of household, industrial, commercial or other ‘controlled’ waste.
The waste can be liquid or solid. ‘Controlled’ waste includes garden refuse and larger domestic items such as fridges and mattresses.
Fly-tipping is not the same as littering. Littering is commonly assumed to include materials, often associated with smoking, eating and drinking.
For the 2021/22 year, local authorities in England dealt with 1.09 million fly-tipping incidents, a decrease of 4 per cent from the 1.14 million reported in 2020/21.
