Police took to social media after being called to reports of a crocodile in a Bucks village.
Officers had a snappy surprise when they showed up at a body of floodwater near Cholesbury.
There, they found a crocodile head peeking out at them.
Luckily, all was not as it seemed.
It turned out that the croc was actually a plastic toy.
The officers shared details of the humorous encounter on social media.
They said: "Do not be alarmed, the croc is now with us at the police station.
"Did you know that it is not that difficult to tell alligators and crocodiles apart? One will see you later, whereas the other will see you in a while."
