The former Jungle Mania building in Bourne End is set to be transformed, if a new planning application is approved.
Glen House Estates Limited has asked Buckinghamshire Council for permission to change the use of the former soft play area at unit 8 of the Wessex Road industrial estate.
The applicant intends the site to be for ‘flexible use’, including industrial processes, general industrial activities or storage and distribution.
Jungle Mania abruptly left the site in February of this year due to a landlord dispute and unit 8 has stood vacant since.

Glen House Estates says that the footprint of the 707sqm existing building will remain unaltered and does not propose any additional extensions.
Its application states: “Parking for the unit will remain as existing with a total of 18 spaces located to the front, side and rear of the existing unit.
“Provision for cycle parking, will be within the units, which will be secure and covered. Larger vehicles will be able to gain access to the roller shutter doors which are at the front and rear of the building.”
Glen House Estates claims that the unit could ‘bring a number of employment opportunities and provide for the creation of a number of new jobs’.
The applicant said it had already had a ‘significant amount of interest in the proposed unit, which will be within business uses and will be ideal for this location’.
Jungle Mania’s former children’s activity centre at the site featured play areas, ball pits, football pitches and slides.
