Five abandoned kittens were found by a member of the public in a woods near Bicester this week.
The kittens, who are nine to 10 weeks old, were left in a box found in Bernwood Forest just over the Oxfordshire border in Buckinghamshire.
They are now in the care of the volunteers with Cherwell Cats Protection after being handed into a vets.
In a social media post, the charity wrote: "On first inspection they seemed quite well, but unfortunately they have very sensitive tummies.
We’re doing our best to get them as comfortable as we can."
