Several firefighters were on hand to save several feathery friends after a number of ducklings fell into a drain.
At around 7.55am on Monday, April 29, an appliance and crew from Aylesbury Fire Station attended the scene along Curtiss Lane in Weston Turville.
Three firefighters used ‘small gear’ to release the baby ducks which were eventually left in the care of Tiggywinkles – one of the UK’s leading animal hospitals which is based in Haddenham.
A Facebook post that the charity put out has gone down very well with animal lovers and residents in the area, with the announcement reaching 150 engagements, along with several shares.
One person said: “What a beautiful rescue – well done guys.”
Another said: “I love this, well done!”
This animal lover added: “Well done to you for saving those beautiful baby ducks.”
Buckinghamshire is known for its wildlife with many ducks living in the area.
