Police have made an arrest after a man stole an emergency axe from a train station in Milton Keynes.
A man reportedly took an emergency black and yellow axe from Bletchley train station at around 3:45pm yesterday, Monday, April 29.
No one was injured but Thames Valley Police has launched an appeal for witnesses after arresting a 25-year-old man in connection to charges of possessing an offensive weapon.
He is currently being held in custody.
Incident and Crime Response Sergeant Emma Thorn described it as an “isolated incident” and said a "thorough" police investigation is underway.
Adding: “Whilst we have conducted extensive searches for the weapon, a black and yellow axe, at this time it remains outstanding.
“As such we are asking anyone with information about either the incident or location of the weapon to please come forward, particularly anyone who may have CCTV or dash-cam or video footage.”
Anyone with information about this incident can make a report by calling 101 or via the Thames Valley Police website, quoting reference number 43240196957.
