A man stole a pushbike valued at around £1,800 in a raid on Slough hostel.
Westley Harcup, 46, of Patrick Haugh Road in Arncott, appeared before Slough Magistrates' Court on February 20.
The court heard that, on May 4, 2023, the defendant burgled AJ Lodge guesthouse in Slough.
He made off with a Cube Attain Pro GTC pushbike valued at £1,809.
Harcup pleaded guilty over the offence, and magistrates handed him a jail sentence of 20 weeks.
He was also ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge.
Justifying their decision to jail Harcup, magistrates noted his prior history of offending.
