Cartoon, film and video game mascots were out in force in Flackwell Heath, as around 150 people took part in a marathon walk in support of a local boy battling cancer.
Nine-year-old Kaiden Edwards was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2022, and underwent intensive surgery.
However, in March this year, it was found that the cancer had relapsed.
A GoFundMe page set up by his mother, Kathryn Edwards, states: "We want every single day for Kaiden to be full of fun, laughter, new experiences and of course love.
"We want him to enjoy spending time with his siblings, cousins, nephews and niece and friends, and just have fun."
The fundraiser has now raised over £25,000, far beyond its initial target.
In a show of support for Kaiden, the Flackwell Heath community came together for a fundraising walk through the village.
This kicked off around lunchtime on Saturday (April 27), as participants converged on the Cleopatra beauty salon.
There, some of the adults involved dressed up as popular characters.
Among the characters represented on the walk were Pikachu, Bluey, Mickey Mouse and Sonic the Hedgehog.
The procession moved through Flackwell Heath, proceeding to Kaiden Edwards' house.
From this point onwards, Kaiden himself led the walk.
Lucy Walker, one of the event's organisers, said that the number of people taking part swelled as the day progressed, with new families constantly joining in.
She told the Bucks Free Press: "We started off, probably, with around 60, 70 people, and then we ended up with 150."
There was a bucket collection for Kaiden throughout.
The walk concluded at the Stag pub in Heath End Road.
There, the publicans had organised a family fun day in Kaiden's honour.
This included a bouncy castle and other activities for children.
Ebony Gooding - one of the walk's organisers - emphasised the all-community nature of the event.
She said: "We've come together with the whole community to organise the Walk for Kaiden.
"We organised balloons everywhere. A lot of the mascots are parents - they've never worn mascots before.
"We've had the lady at Cleopatra Beauty, who allowed us to get changed in her salon."
