Students at Wycombe High School made waves by raising £218 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance with their ‘Splat the Teacher’ and car wash event.
Student, Malva Collinao Pierce, decided to front the campaign which could involve both teachers and students in raising money for the charity.
She said: “What better way than to encourage students to throw soggy sponges at their teachers’ faces!
“I hope the event can continue after I leave the school and many more teachers will get splatted.”
The event was a success and raised over £215 for the charity in only one hour of car washing and splatting.
This will be added to their total or charity donations for Thames Valley Air Ambulance to be announced by the end of the academic year.
The students hope that more money can be raised for our local air ambulance service, which is an independent charity and receives no government or national lottery funding.
Therefore, they rely solely on donations by the public.
Thames Valley Air Ambulance estimates that one helicopter mission costs £3,600.
