People across Buckinghamshire are being urged to order repeat prescriptions ahead of the May 6 bank holiday.
With some community pharmacies and all GP surgeries due to close during the holiday, patients are encouraged to act swiftly.
Information about pharmacy opening times over the weekend can be accessed on the NHS website.
Patients can tap into the NHS App to order repeat prescriptions.
Detailed instructions about the app can be found on the NHS website, and set-up completed prescriptions can be directly sent from GP practices to local community pharmacies for collection or delivery.
Many GP practices also offer an online repeat prescription service via their websites.
Further, patients without access to online services can contact their surgeries to place orders for their repeat medications.
Dr Abid Irfan, director of primary care at the NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board, issued a notable reminder.
Dr Irfan said: "Help yourself stay well over the bank holiday weekend by making sure you have enough of your medication to see you through."
He added: "It's best to order your usual medications well in advance, especially if you're going away for the weekend.
"And you can also help by checking with more vulnerable family members, friends and neighbours that they have the medications they need."
Dr Irfan concluded: "If you do run out of your medication, NHS 111 online can offer advice on how to get an emergency supply.
"But it's always best to be prepared by ordering ahead."
