Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s ‘decaying’ former Buckinghamshire mansion is to be restored by the long-vacant property’s new owners, a pair of Russian film moguls.
Sergei Oleg Yershov and Olga Romanov have permission from Bucks Council to overhaul the Georgian Grade II listed eight-bedroom Beel House on Snells Lane, Little Chalfont.
The pair want to refurbish the main house and service wing and demolish and replace the pool house, guest wing and conservatory.
They also plan to knock down the stores, create a new basement with car parking and make other changes, including adding a rooflight, new shutters, windows and doors.
Planners approved the refurbishment of Beel House in July last year, but Mr Yershov and Mrs Romanov have now asked the council for permission to make slight changes to their original blueprints.
The applicants have submitted fresh plans to the council this week in a bid to make ‘minor aesthetic alterations’ to their planned replacement conservatory.

Set in 13.5 acres of grounds, Beel House features four bathrooms, a library, a large indoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna, gym, changing rooms, a tennis court, croquet lawn, games room and a deer park.
After the sprawling country pile was sold in 2021, surveys revealed decay, mould and damp within the property, which is now in ‘poor condition’ and ‘in desperate need of refurbishment’.
Planning documents state: “The applicants are seeking to restore the interior of the house, with some minor reconfigurations in order to bring it back into use as a home.
“Coupled with the lack of maintenance by the previous owners, the house now lies in its present state of decay.”
The property, which has stood empty since 2013, was occupied by former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne.
The Prince of Darkness, who now lives five miles down the road in Jordans, moved into Beel House with his wife, former X Factor judge, Sharon Osbourne and their children in the 1980s.
It was at the house in 1989, when the rocker famously tried to kill Sharon while he was high on drugs, after which he wound up in an Amersham prison cell arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was sent to rehab.
Beel House’s other well-known occupants have included Lady Caroline Cavendish in the 1830s, Colonel Abram Lyle of the Tate & Lyle sugar company from 1909 to 1920 and the actor Sir Dirk Bogarde who bought it in 1954.
The house may date to Tudor times and was also once owned by the Duke of Buckingham, according to Amersham Museum.
Its current owners Mr Yershov and Mrs Romanov are directors of VLG.FILM, a London-registered subsidiary of its California-based parent company Volga.
Mr Yershov is the CEO of Volga, which has distributed blockbusters to Russia and the Baltic countries.
