Police were called to Aylesbury train station this morning after reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Travellers were told to double-check their journeys this morning after an “incident” caused significant disruption between Aylesbury and Princes Risborough.
All lines between the two stations were blocked from around 9am until 12pm.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said officers received reports of a casualty on the tracks near Aylesbury at 8:43am.
They added: “Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
