Police have released a CCTV image of a person they want to speak to in connection with an incident of assault and racial abuse at a corner shop in Chesham.
An offender entered the Premier Express on Bellingdon Road at around 6:40pm on Monday, March 11.
They then reportedly directed racial abuse at staff members and assaulted a woman in the shop.
The woman sustained a laceration to the back of her head and was taken to hospital.
She has since been discharged.
Thames Valley Police has issued a CCTV image of a person they believe is connected to the incident and is urging anyone who recognises them to get in touch.
It comes less than a month after robberies were reported from Ivy Stores in Amersham and Londis in Chesham Bois, the latter of which involved a staff member being seriously injured with an axe.
Investigating officer PC Jake Janes said: “We are releasing CCTV images of an individual we believe may have vital information in connection with this incident.
“We would ask anyone who recognises this individual to please get in touch through our online form or by contacting 101 quoting reference 43240114421.
“If you do not wish to speak to the police but have information you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and they will take you information anonymously.”
