The Bucks Country Show will return to Amersham next month.

Taking place on Sunday, May 5 and Monday, May 6, the family-fun event will be based at the Penn Estate in the town, with attractions focusing on the Horseman of the Knight, Inspire Motorbike and BMX Stunt Team, the Dog and Duck Show, and a Jez Averys stunt ring all being on the bill.

The ‘We Love Dogs’ section will also return with the segment being hugely popular with those visiting the two-day event.

This year, the show will have over 20 Fun Dog Classes and 20 Pedigree Dog Classes, an owner and celebrity lookalike competition, dog agility, dogs’ got talent, flyball and much more.

Overall, the event managed to raise £18,000 for charity in 2023.

A spokesperson from the event said: “The Buck Country Show is an event that provides all our visitors with a fun day out but also the opportunity to learn and emerge themselves in some new hobbies.

“If you are looking to pick up a new skill why not go and visit our amazing rural crafters in our crafts area, where they will be demonstrating some truly unique and traditional crafts that have become extremely rare to come across.”

A section of its website reads: “Whether you are a Country Show fan, an avid foodie, dog lover, want loads for the kiddies to do, love living history or simply want a fun filled day out, our shows are for you.

“Join us to support small producers and handmade with some wonderful shopping experiences.

“Watch and admire the Rural Crafters demonstrating all day and making some pretty amazing things, or why not enter your dog into our Dog Shows.

“There is also something for every music lover at our events.

“Enjoy some lunch whilst listening to some fabulous music.”

Recent events in previous years have seen spectators both young and old get involved in the activities, with there plenty expected to be on show in 2024.

Last year, there were performances from stormtroopers, puppet shows, Punch and Judy, and clowns.
