PUBLIC toilets in High Wycombe town centre have been closed off permanently.
The toilets in Paul's Row, which are owned by Buckinghamshire Council, were shut following "significant vandalism".
John Chilver, Cabinet Member for Accessible Housing and Resources, said: "Unfortunately, we have had to close these public toilets for the foreseeable future due to significant vandalism.
"This decision was not taken lightly but is necessary due to the high costs incurred in maintaining and keeping these toilets open.
"We apologise to members of the public for any disruption caused by this closure.”
There are two other public toilets available to use in the town centre.
Shoppers can use the Dovecot multi storey car park toilets in Premiere Way or the Easton Street car park public toilet.
There is also a toilet slightly out of town in Hampden Road Cemetery.
