Temperatures are already hitting the high teens across parts of the county – but will the warm weather hold?
Buckinghamshire is in for a bright end of the week with highs of nearly 20°C following a wet and windy start as Storm Kathleen moved away from the UK.
The warm spell got underway today (March 11), with above average highs of 17°C across the county and the next few days are set to follow suit – leading some to dub it a ‘mini heatwave’.
However, Met Office spokesperson Andrea Bishop said the sunny few days cannot technically be classed as a “mini heat-wave” as temperatures are not expected to meet the heatwave criteria, which varies by county.
For a heatwave to be declared in Buckinghamshire, the temperature would have to remain at 28°C or above for at least three days.
Parts of the county might see highs of 21°C on Friday, with 18°C and 19°C predicted for Saturday.

Temperatures are expected to remain high until Sunday (April 14) when they will drop to around 13°C and remain steady heading into next week.
Ms Bishop said: “Temperatures are expected to reach the high teens and maybe 20°C in the southeast today (March 11).
“Cooler air moves in from Saturday, seeing temperatures decline from the north. The southeast is likely to see warm conditions on Saturday, although elsewhere temperatures are likely to be near normal or even slightly below.”
