A MARLOW pub has been named among the best country pubs with rooms in the UK.
Britain's only two Michelin-starred pub, owned by Tom Kerridge in Marlow, blurs the line between high dining and comfort food while delivering luxury accommodation.
The Hand and Flowers, which opened in 2005, is renowned for redefining gastropub cuisine with its classic dishes including an upscale take on fish and chips and a masterfully sourced full English breakfast.
Telegraph travel writer Tabitha Joyce said: "Brilliantly, the restaurant focuses on classic pub grub which means one of the smartest plates of fish and chips ever served (with minted pea purée and caviar tartare sauce) and in the morning, a full English that acts as a masterclass in well-sourced ingredients."
Guests are also treated to a comfortable stay in the pub's elegant rooms located throughout the town.
These rooms are best known for their homely touches, such as handmade whoopie-pie biscuits and flasks of hot malted milk to welcome guests.
The relaxed atmosphere impresses given the high culinary standards maintained by the pub.
Patrons can enjoy this unique combination of gourmet food and comfortable lodging from £325 per night.
