A HUSBAND and wife dancing duo celebrated 12 years of running Zumba classes in the Beaconsfield community.
Gabriel and Harriet Borezescu put on a spectacular two-hour dance session on Sunday, March 17, at the Curzon Centre in Maxwell Road, filled with strobe lights, Latin music and dance anthems.
The party was a celebration of Gabriel receiving his instructor's licence 12 years ago.
He said: "The event went really well. We were overwhelmed with the support from the community.
"We really shared a fantastic day all together.
"We are so happy that Zumba in the fitness world is still going strong.
"It’s for all ages, genders and abilities and it’s not only a fun and energetic workout, but it can also be an effective way to lose weight and improve your overall fitness whilst also being part of a community and making friends.
"We have one of the best Zumba families and we are so proud of the Beaconsfield community. It’s super special because it feels like a real family.
"We socialise outside of classes, going to coffee and celebrating birthdays sometimes at weekends.
"Everyone looks out for each other and we have a huge support from all our students and everyone is so friendly to one another.
"For us it’s super special, and we are so grateful."
Gabriel's first student Elinor Johnson has been loving his classes ever since.
She attended the two-hour dance event and loved every minute of it.
"The event was fantastic, I had so much fun," she said.
"The atmosphere was electric and there was a real sense of community, bringing together all ages and skill levels just to have fun!"
Zumba is a fitness program that involves cardio and Latin-inspired dance.
Gabriel and his wife Harriet run weekly classes at The Curzon Centre in Beaconsfield, Beaconsfield School, Bourne End Academy and Radnage Village Hall.
